Questions owners ask

AI phone receptionist for restaurants

An AI phone receptionist answers the restaurant's line when staff cannot. AIRest picks up in your restaurant's name, answers menu, hours and policy questions only from facts you approved, checks that a real table is free, reads the booking back and writes it after the guest says yes. Every call lands in an admin your team can read.

Calls, bookings and questions

What happens on a call, as the product works today.

  • Bookings

Can an AI receptionist take table reservations over the phone?

Yes. AIRest checks the request against your tables, opening hours and party-size rules before it offers a time. It reads the booking back with the date resolved, for example “Saturday, October 10 at 7:30 PM, for 4 people”, and writes it only after the guest says yes. A database constraint makes it impossible to book the same table twice for overlapping times.

  • Facts

Will it make things up about the menu or allergens?

AIRest answers only from facts you approved. The platform takes the facts from your website or a menu document, and you approve or reject each one before Juno may use it. Menu, dietary and allergen questions, opening hours, address, parking and policies are covered this way.

  • Unknown

What happens when a guest asks something it does not know?

When your facts do not cover a question, Juno offers a callback. When a guest asks to speak to someone, the call is transferred to your staff.

  • Large parties

How does it handle large groups and last-minute bookings?

Parties above the size you set go to your staff with a callback offer. Times outside your hours are refused, and you set the minimum notice and how far ahead guests can book.

  • Confirmations

Does the guest get a confirmation?

Yes. An SMS and an email go to the guest when the booking is created, on a connected Twilio line and email account.

  • Language

    Which languages does it speak?

One language per restaurant. You pick it, and speech recognition and the Amazon Polly voice follow it for the whole call. English and French in one call is on the roadmap.

Setup and pilots

Phone line, team and price

  • Your line

    How do calls reach AIRest?

Each restaurant gets Twilio Voice numbers from the admin. You decide which calls reach Juno, for example by forwarding your line during the rush.

  • Your team

What does the restaurant team see?

An admin with the dashboard, every call with its transcript and outcome, the booking ledger and tonight's tables, usage and costs. Owners, managers, hosts and viewers each see what their role allows, and several locations can share one account.

  • Price

    How much does it cost?

AIRest has no public price yet. Pilots are open to independent restaurants in Ottawa, and each pilot runs under a separate written agreement.

  • Try it

Can I hear it before a pilot?

Yes. Open the live demo in Chrome or Edge, press Call and ask for a table at Bella Vista, a fictional demo restaurant in Ottawa. The 1‑minute video shows a full call and the admin.

  • Company

    Who makes AIRest?

INNOVA CONSULT LTD., a Canadian federal corporation (1522612-1) in Ottawa. The founder is Maksym Stepanenko. More on the About page.
